About STEAM Innovator
We bring students directly in contact with Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics (STEAM) in a memorable, valuable, rigorous, and fun way.
We aim for depth! We are education redefined. We aim to train and provide valuable real-world, hands-on, project-based experiences for students in grades K-12.
TEAM LEADER | Daren Vaughn is an Electrical Engineer, Product Development Engineer, Acoustic Engineer, and Audio Engineer. He is a graduate of Cass Technical High School (Detroit, MI) and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Prairie View A and M University (PVAMU) and a Master of Arts in Audio Sciences from Johns Hopkins University (JHU). His areas of practice center around electrical engineering, audio and acoustics, and projects range from audio (studio and video) recording to sound system design for architectural and automotive applications. As of late, he is engaging in an increasing number of app development projects.
He has worked for the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Sony Electronics (Fortune 500), LG Electronics (Fortune 500), and Fujitsu-Ten (Fortune 500). Through his many roles, he gained a global perspective while traveling and working in Germany, Japan, and the U.S. He has implemented projects that have impacted the North American, South American, and European marketplaces.
Ironically, his most rewarding work took form early in his career when he decided to go into education for 3 years. “Teaching the rudiments allows students to gain a robust foundation and it is where deep learning occurs. All they need next are projects that will challenge them.” This opened the door for one facet of his life work.

program overview
what we Do
We transform students by creating interdisciplinary programming based on STEAM subject matter areas. Our focus is on providing real-world engineering experiences. Our instructors know their industries! By using creative approaches to STEAM, we demonstrate how everything that is created is interconnected. There is no engineering without math and science. There is no technology and engineering without art. We make connections for students and explore their curiosity.
